Antique Early Victorian Thurston mahogany 12ft table

Description

An extremely rare antique early Victorian full size billiard table manufactured by Thurston & Co of Catherine Street, Strand circa 1850. This table sports a 1 inch bolted welsh slate base, one of the earliest examples of an upragded slate bed from the original wooden paneled one. The tables features understated turned and carved solid mahogany legs with gorgeous figured veneers on the frame, typical of the era it was manufactured in.

The table will be fully refurbished with new cushion rubbers, pockets and new West of England 6811 wool cloth, and with an accompanying Thurston scoreboard would complete any billiard room. UK Delivery and groundfloor installation are also included in the price.
