Description

A brilliant Victorian oak two player roller scoreboard by Norval & Sons of 49 Argyle street, Glasgow c.1890. The scoreboard is made from an exquisite cut of quarter sawn English Oak, and features its original patinated brass pointers and rails, with decorative fleur-de-lis style mounts. A real handmade quality piece from a rare maker, particularly south of the border.

Norval & Sons were established as billiard table manufacturers in 1866, with works and a showroom at separate addresses on Argyle Street.
